To be able to compete against the Big Three, as well as Toyota, Nissan has to work on a Titan redesign and quick.

According to an article at USA Today (http://subarudiesel.com/forums/”http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2010/01/nissan-pretty-much-going-it-alone-on-new-pickup/1?loc=interstitialskip”) on Monday, Nissan is reportedly developing a replacement for the Titan by itself after Chrysler backed out (http://subarudiesel.com/forums/”http://truckprofile.com/nissan-chrysler-end-supposed-collaboration/”) from their agreement to trade platforms early on.

"We're pretty much going it alone," says Nissan spokesperson Scott Vazin.

Meanwhile, their factory in Canton, Mississippi will continue producing the Titan until its replacement is ready to be released.
